tortilla rolls

7/7/2012

appetizers should be quick and easy to make.  these tortilla rolls are one of my favorite no-effort-recipes for a fantastic snack!  and once you get the basics down, you can try adding different ingredients to the mix!  they are highly addictive.
Ingredients:
2 packages cream cheese, softened
1 small can chopped green chilles
1 small can chopped black olives
3 green onions, finely chopped
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch Fiesta Dip, dry mix
7 to 8 large flour tortillas

Directions:
- Mix cream cheese, green chilles, black olives, green onions, and Fiesta Dip in medium bowl.
- Spread over each tortilla.  Roll tortillas.
- Let rolled up tortillas set in refrigerator for at least an hour (so that it will be easier to slice them without the mixture squeezing out).
- Slice tortilla rolls at a slant using a sharp knife or a serrated knife.

This recipe is great if you want to prepare the tortillas the night before, and all you have to do is slice them up right before your meal the next day!  You can also try creating your own spice mix instead of the Fiesta Dip mix.  I think next time I'll try adding chopped jalapeno peppers for an added kick of heat!
