fifth: create chocolate shavings

Finally: Start layering

Ingredients:
*For the graham cracker crumble:
(this quantity makes 4 small desserts)
5 full sized graham crackers (I used Honey Grahams)
1/6 cup butter, melted (half of a 1/3 cup)
1/2 tbs sugar

*For the cream filling:
(this quantity makes 8 to 12 small desserts)
1/3 cup cornstarch
2/3 cup white sugar
3 egg yolks
3 cups hot milk

*For the whipped cream:
(this quantity makes 4 small desserts)
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tbs sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract

1 banana per 4 small desserts (i.e. 2 bananas for 8 small desserts, etc.)
1 bar of milk chocolate per 4 small desserts (I used a Galaxy milk chocolate bar)

Directions:
*For the graham cracker crumble:
- Crush graham crackers on a flat surface using the bottom of a glass.
- Mix the crushed graham crackers, sugar, and butter together.
- Pour into an 8x8 Pyrex dish and gently smooth out the layer evenly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Set aside to cool down.

*For the cream filling:
- You can find this recipe here.
(Note: this quantity makes extra cream filling for use later.  I used a leftover batch to make these banana cream graham cracker crumbles.)

*For the whipped cream:
- Pour whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla into a bowl.
- Whip with a whisk until light and fluffy (whipped cream should be able to hold peaks when the whisk is lifted out).

- Mash the banana in a bowl.
(Note: bananas go bad rather fast. I usually make 4 small desserts at a time (I make a larger quantity of cream pudding for later.) So you can make 4 fresh small desserts every few days without worrying about the bananas going bad.

- Have your chocolate bar and grater on hand to start the layering!

- Start layering the small desserts like so: graham cracker crumble, cream filling, chocolate shavings, banana, whipped cream, cream filling, etc. Keep repeating until the pie fills up (make sure the last layer is whipped cream with a little bit of graham cracker crumble and chocolate shavings on top).
- You're done! Place in the fridge for at least an hour (a couple of hours or overnight is ideal).

You can even garnish with a fresh slice of banana and a drizzle of caramel on the top.
